Requires EPA report on reuse and refill systems
The Environmental Protection Agency would study and publish a report on reusable and refillable product and container systems, due within two years.
- Report must be public within 2 years of the bill becoming law
- Covers reuse and refill systems in food service, drinks, cleaning and personal care products, shipping, and schools
- Looks at costs and benefits for businesses and for waste collection and management
- Includes job opportunities, support needed from local, state and federal governments, and existing barriers
