Limits public posting of lawmakers' personal information
Lets lawmakers, their families and designated staff ask agencies and websites to remove personal details like home addresses within 72 hours, and bans data brokers from selling that data.
- Government agencies must remove the information within 72 hours of a request
- Data brokers may not sell, trade, or buy the covered information
- Websites must take it down within 72 hours after a written request
- News reporting and information required by law are left out of the rules
