Lets Katahdin monument buy land from willing sellers
Allows the Interior Secretary to add land to the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument in Maine by buying from willing sellers, donation or exchange, and blocks the use of eminent domain.
- Land can only be bought from willing sellers, donated or traded; taking land by force is not allowed
- Land added this way becomes part of the monument and its boundary shifts to match
- Hunting, fishing and other recreation already allowed on acquired land would continue
- Hand-picking fiddlehead ferns for personal use would be allowed, unless the Secretary limits it to protect resources
