Directs Justice Department to set police leadership training
Has the Justice Department create or pick training for police command staff, certify courses that use it, and publicly list agencies whose officers finish it.
- Within 180 days, the attorney general must develop or find training for police command staff
- Topics include leadership, critical incident response, risk management, officer wellness and community trust
- Courses must be mostly in person and include problem-solving work plus tests before and after
- Agencies would be listed publicly when their officers complete the training
