Requires FCC to report on network equipment gaps

The Federal Communications Commission would add an assessment of how the supply of network equipment affects broadband buildout to its existing reports on the communications marketplace.

• The assessment would be added to the FCC's reports on the state of the communications marketplace
• Those reports go to Congress and are published publicly every other year
• The FCC would look at how equipment availability affects the spread of advanced broadband
