Sets deadlines for tribal land mortgage decisions
Requires the Bureau of Indian Affairs to review and decide on mortgages on tribal land within set deadlines, and creates a realty ombudsman.
- Bureau must preliminarily review mortgage documents within 10 days of receiving them
- Bureau must approve or deny within 20 or 30 days, depending on application type
- Sets response times for certified title status reports and delay notices
- Creates a Realty Ombudsman and gives read-only access to a trust asset system
