Corrects retirement benefits for certain border officers
Lets certain Customs and Border Protection officers who got a job offer before July 2008 but started later receive a proportional retirement annuity, with retroactive corrections.
- Officers with a tentative offer before July 6, 2008 who started on or after that date can get the annuity
- The Office of Personnel Management must correct their annuities retroactively, using a Homeland Security list
- The Department of Homeland Security may retroactively waive mandatory retirement rules for these officers
- The Government Accountability Office must report on Customs and Border Protection's retirement policies
