Studies Commerce Department manufacturing and supply chain offices

Requires the Commerce Department to pay an outside group to study its offices that work on supply chains and manufacturing, and to recommend ways to improve them.

• The department must hire the National Academy of Public Administration for the study
• The study covers each office's purpose, legal authority and limits
• It also assesses how well and how efficiently each office works
• The report must include recommendations to improve their impact
