Sets federal budget levels for 2026 through 2035
Sets target levels for federal taxes, spending, deficits and debt for the 2026 budget year and the nine years after, as a guide for later spending bills in Congress.
- Sets federal revenue targets starting at about $3.76 trillion for 2026
- Sets 2026 spending at about $5.38 trillion in new budget authority
- Projects a 2026 deficit of about $1.53 trillion, falling to about $215 billion by 2029
- Creates reserve funds for savings from consolidations and for health savings accounts
