Requests State Department report on El Salvador rights
Asks the Secretary of State to send Congress a report within 30 days on human rights in El Salvador, including treatment of detainees and use of U.S. security aid.
- Report due within 30 days of the resolution passing
- Must cover alleged torture, forced disappearances and denial of due process
- Must assess whether U.S. security aid could support detention or transfer of non-citizens
- Must describe steps to free U.S. citizens or residents held in El Salvador
