The Senate marks April 2025 as Community College Month, honoring the more than 1,000 community colleges in the United States and the students they serve.
- There are 1,026 community colleges serving 10,200,000 credit and noncredit students
- Public community colleges charge in-district students an average of $3,990 a year
- Community colleges enrolled 43.1 percent of all undergraduates in 2022-2023
