The Senate praises Southeastern Louisiana University for 100 years and its service to Louisiana and the country.
- The school began in 1925 as Hammond Junior College with 40 students and 5 teachers
- It became Southeastern Louisiana University in 1970
- It now serves more than 15,000 students a year through 5 colleges and schools
- A copy of the resolution goes to the university's president and other leaders
