Names the week of August 3 through August 9, 2025, National Farmers Market Week and recognizes the role farmers markets play in local economies and food access.
- Farmers markets brought farmers $1.7 billion in income in 2020, the resolution says
- The number of markets grew from 1,755 in 1994 to 8,771 in 2019
- The resolution says markets teach the public about farming and link cities and rural areas
- It says markets and direct selling help low-income people who get federal food benefits
