Names September 2025 National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and asks government bodies and nonprofits to hold activities that raise awareness of childhood cancer.
- Asks federal, state, local groups and nonprofits to observe the month with programs and activities
- Encourages childhood cancer survivors to keep getting monitoring and care as adults
- States more than 14,500 children under 19 in the U.S. are diagnosed with cancer each year
- Says about 1,600 children in the U.S. die of cancer each year
