Supports a National Move Over Law Day
Backs a day to promote state laws that tell drivers to change lanes or slow down when passing emergency or rescue work on the roadside.
- Urges national, state, and regional groups to spread awareness of these laws
- The laws require drivers to move over at least one lane when possible
- If moving over is not safe, drivers should slow down and pass with caution
- Covers emergency or rescue work on the shoulder or side of the road
