Marks one year since the Southern California wildfires

The Senate observes the one-year anniversary of the January 2025 Southern California wildfires, honoring those who died and the first responders, and backing continued rebuilding.

• The fires burned nearly 60,000 acres, killed 31 people and destroyed over 16,000 structures
• Over 200,000 people were displaced from their homes
• More than 7,500 firefighters and responders helped fight the fires
• The Senate says it is committed to helping Southern California communities rebuild
