Recognizes 30 years of Super Hornet service
A Senate resolution marks the 30th anniversary of the Super Hornet's first flight and 30 years of service to the U.S. Navy and allies.
- First Super Hornet flight was November 29, 1995, from Lambert Field in St. Louis
- Super Hornets entered Navy fleet service in 1999 and reached initial operating capability in 2001
- The Blue Angels Navy flight demonstration team began using the Super Hornet in 2021
- The resolution thanks Navy pilots, weapons officers, and maintenance teams who operate the aircraft
