Urges president not to pardon Ghislaine Maxwell
The Senate states its view that Ghislaine Maxwell, convicted over the sexual exploitation of minors with Jeffrey Epstein, should not get a presidential pardon or other clemency.
- Asks the president not to pardon, commute or otherwise grant clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell
- A jury found Maxwell guilty in December 2021 of multiple felony offenses involving minors
- A judgment of conviction was entered in June 2022; she was later sentenced to 20 years in federal prison
- Says the conviction and sentence match the seriousness of offenses involving sexual exploitation of minors
