Congratulates UCLA women's basketball on NCAA title
The Senate congratulates the UCLA Bruins women's basketball team for winning the 2026 NCAA Division I national championship, the school's first NCAA women's title and second women's national title overall.
- UCLA beat South Carolina 79-51 on April 5, 2026, in Phoenix
- It is UCLA's first NCAA women's basketball title and second women's national title overall
- Coach Cori Close led the team to a 37-1 record in her 15th season
- A copy of the resolution goes to UCLA's chancellor, head coach and athletic director
