Says Hamas must not keep control of Gaza

The Senate states that Hamas should not hold political or military control in the Gaza Strip and asks the President to cut off the group's funding.

• States Hamas cannot be allowed to keep political or military control in Gaza
• Asks the President to use economic and diplomatic tools to stop all money going to Hamas, including from Iran
• Expresses support for Israel defending itself against Hamas, Iran and other groups backed by Iran
