Recognizes 100th anniversary of a Mississippi community college
The Senate congratulates Northwest Mississippi Community College on 100 years and sends a copy of the resolution to its president, institutional affairs vice president, and athletics director.
- The school opened for college-level classes on September 7, 1926
- It serves an 11-county area with more than 8,000 students each year
- It runs campuses in Senatobia, DeSoto, Oxford, Batesville, Olive Branch, Water Valley, and Ashland
- A copy goes to Dr. Michael J. Heindl, Dr. Brad Smith, and Mr. Jake Gordon
