Congratulates Jackson State Tigers on 2024 Celebration Bowl win
The Senate congratulates Jackson State University's football team for winning the 2024 Celebration Bowl, the first time the team has won the game.
- Jackson State beat South Carolina State 28-7 on Dec. 14, 2024
- The team finished the season 12-2 and first in the Southwestern Athletic Conference
- Running back Travis Terrell Jr. was named freshman and special teams player of the year
- Head coach T.C. Taylor was named conference head coach of the year
