Recognizes 25th anniversary of September 11 attacks
The Senate marks 25 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks by honoring the 2,977 people killed, thanking responders and service members, and urging a commitment to remember.
- Honors the 2,977 people who died in New York, at the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania
- Thanks firefighters, police, medical workers, troops, intelligence workers and volunteers who responded
- Honors the passengers and crew of Flight 93
- Asks people to mark the anniversary with ceremonies and to keep a spirit of unity and service
